Qobuljon Kholiqovich Akhmedov has been appointed director of the Media Content Production Center under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The relevant decree of the Presidential administration has been adopted in this regard.

In addition, two deputy directors have also been appointed to the Media Content Production Center. They are Husan Ravshanovich Salikhov and Jahongir Muhammadali ogli Abdurakhmonov.

Speaking about the new director of the center, Qobuljon Akhmedov, previously served as the General Director of the MY5 TV channel and, before this appointment, headed the “Yoshlar” creative association of the National television and radio company (MTRK). As for Khusan Salikhov, he is a well-known director who, before this appointment, led the Media Center of the Presidential press service.

Jahongir Abdurakhmonov most recently worked as a chief consultant at the Presidential press service and, before that, served as editor-in-chief at the “Uzreport” TV channel.

It is worth noting that it was announced in July of this year that the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AICA) under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan would be dissolved, and on its basis, the National Content Production Center would be established. Meanwhile, the Media Center of the Presidential administration’s press service was reorganized into the Content Production Center for mass media.
