Large quantity of psychotropic drugs brought from Kyrgyzstan intercepted

A large quantity of potent medicinal drugs was discovered in a Gentra vehicle in Kokand city, Fergana Region, according to the State Security Service.

It was reported that during an operation conducted in Kokand, a Gentra vehicle was stopped and inspected. As a result, 2,797 tablets of the potent drug “Regapen,” illegally smuggled from the Kyrgyz Republic, were found in the possession of a passenger born in 1994 and residing in the city. The seized items were documented in accordance with established procedures.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the individual under Part 5 of Article 251 of the Criminal Code (illegal possession of potent or toxic substances), and a measure of detention has been applied.

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that a senior specialist of the Fergana Regional Department of Agriculture had been detained while attempting to sell part of land allocated for providing employment to low-income and unemployed youth.
