The earthquake in Kyrgyzstan was felt in Uzbekistan

Today, June 19, at 17:09 Tashkent time, an earthquake originating in Kyrgyzstan was felt in several districts of Uzbekistan. This information was provided by the Republic Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The earthquake's coordinates were 41.58 degrees north latitude and 71.21 degrees east longitude. It had a magnitude of 4.2 and a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was located 170 km southwest of Tashkent.

Reports indicate that the earthquake was felt in three districts of the Namangan region:

  • 2-3 points in Yangiqorgon district, 43 km away;
  • 2 points in Kosonsoy district, 53 km away;
  • 2 points in Chust district, 59 km away.
