The earthquake's coordinates were 41.58 degrees north latitude and 71.21 degrees east longitude. It had a magnitude of 4.2 and a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was located 170 km southwest of Tashkent.
Reports indicate that the earthquake was felt in three districts of the Namangan region:
- 2-3 points in Yangiqorgon district, 43 km away;
- 2 points in Kosonsoy district, 53 km away;
- 2 points in Chust district, 59 km away.
