Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan felt in Uzbekistan

An earthquake occurred in the Kyrgyz Republic today, on August 26, at 15:31 Tashkent time, the National Center for Seismological Monitoring reported.
According to reports, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 287 km southeast of Tashkent, in Botken, the Kyrgyz Republic. It registered a magnitude of 4.1, with a depth of 10 km. The tremor was felt at an intensity of 5 on the local scale. Coordinates: 39.79°N latitude, 72°E longitude.
In Uzbekistan, the earthquake was felt as follows:
- Quvasoy city: intensity 2, 57 km from the epicenter;
- Fergana district: intensity 2, 61 km from the epicenter;
- Fergana city: intensity 2, 68 km from the epicenter.
It is worth noting that earlier, it was reported that a 4.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
