Uzbekistan will host the 2027 Fencing World Championships

Uzbekistan has been selected to host the 2027 Fencing World Championships, with Tashkent as the event's venue. The National Olympic Committee's press service confirmed the announcement.
The decision was made at the latest congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE), held in Uzbekistan's capital, where the country was entrusted with organizing the 2027 Senior World Championships.
The competition is scheduled to take place from July 20 to 28, 2027.
Notably, during the same congress, it was announced that Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov had been re-elected as president of the International Fencing Federation.
