A five-year program for the development of Kashkadarya region has been adopted

On 20 April the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the decision «On additional measures for the comprehensive social and economic development of the Kashkadarya region for 2022-2026 and further improving the living standards of the population».

The document confirms the following:

• a «road map», which includes practical measures to address existing problems affecting the population;
• specialization, «growth points» and «driver zones» of cities and districts of Kashkadarya region;
• aggregate parameters of investment projects for the development of industry, agriculture, and services;
• comprehensive measures for the development of engineering and communication, production and service infrastructure of the Kashkadarya region in 2022, as well as the construction, reconstruction, and repair of social facilities;
• an intentional list of promising projects for the development of the social and productive infrastructure of cities and districts of Kashkadarya region.

According to the complex program, in 2022-2026 in Kashkadarya region, the gross regional product will be increased by 1.5 times, industrial production by 1.5 times, agricultural production by 1.2 times, the volume of services by 2.9 times and the volume of construction works by 1.5 times.
