Illegal drug cultivation uncovered in Kashkadarya region

In the Kashkadarya region, 22 cannabis plants were discovered in a citizen’s homestead. This was reported by the regional Customs Department.

According to the report, officials conducted an urgent operation in the Chiraqchi district of the region.

During the operation, the citizen’s residence was inspected in the presence of witnesses.

As a result of the search, 22 cannabis plants with narcotic properties, illegally cultivated in the homestead, were found.

The Customs Department stated that an investigation into the case is currently ongoing.

It should be recalled that earlier, a citizen in the Dangara district of the Fergana region was found to have been growing 55,000 poppy plants and more than 40 cannabis plants in his homestead.
