Unauthorized car ride ends in tragedy for Kashkadarya teen

A 14-year-old boy in Kashkadarya region’s Karshi district was involved in a fatal car accident, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. The incident was reported by the “Hudud” program.

On April 19, the teenager allegedly took his father’s car without permission in Kozikent neighborhood and lost control, leading to the crash. The impact claimed the lives of two of his friends at the scene.

According to reports, five individuals were inside the Gentra sedan when the accident occurred. The 2011-born schoolboy was driving at high speed, lost control, and collided with a parked truck on the roadside.

Authorities have launched a criminal investigation under Article 266, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, which concerns traffic safety violations. The Karshi district police department is currently conducting inquiries.

Earlier, on April 2, a similar case was reported in Namangan region’s Davlatobod district, where school students crashed a Nexia-3 into a truck. Investigations revealed that an 11th-grade student rented the car to 9th graders for two hours in exchange for 220,000 UZS.
