Landslide occurs on “Kamchik” pass

5671Early this morning, at 4:55 a.m. on November 6, a landslide occurred at the 238.5-kilometer mark of the A-373 highway through the "Kamchik" pass, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The landslide, consisting of an unstable rock-soil mixture, occurred in the “Vodiy-Tashkent” direction. It was triggered by moisture from recent precipitation on the mountain slope.
The landslide fell into a road trench, posing no threat to traffic safety, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
At the scene, the "Kamchikavtoyol" maintenance team cleared the landslide debris using specialized equipment. The "Kamchik" special search and fire-rescue department, along with the highway patrol (YPX) detachment, implemented safety measures on the road.
Drivers passing through the area are advised to avoid stopping in hazardous sections and to observe all warning and prohibition signs.
