Dozens of avalanches reported at Kamchik Pass (video)

On February 12, between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., avalanches occurred at the Kamchik Pass in Pop district of Namangan region, according to the national weather service.
Heavy precipitation in the area triggered 12 avalanches with a total volume of 12,000 cubic meters. No casualties or injuries were reported.
During the same time period, four additional avalanches totaling 5,500 cubic meters were recorded at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the Chimgan area of Bostanliq district, Tashkent region.
Earlier, the Kamchik Pass had been temporarily closed to traffic due to the risk of avalanches.
