Islamic Solidarity Games: Uzbekistan is in the top three in the number of medals won

The V Islamic Solidarity Games is currently being held in Konya, Turkey.  In the past few days of the competition, the hosts, the national team of Turkey, clearly lead in the winning of medals. To date, the Turks have accumulated 208 medals, including 79 gold, 73 silver, and 56 bronze.

The second place is occupied by representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Persians collected a total of 96 medals. The Iranians won 33 gold, 25 silver, and 38 bronze medals.

The delegation of Uzbekistan currently ranks third in the number of medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games.  During the last 9 days of the competition, Uzbekistan athletes won 87 medals. Uzbekistan has 27 gold, 24 silver, and 36 bronze medals.

It should be noted that weightlifters brought the most medals to the delegation of Uzbekistan. Athletes have won 5 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals.  In turn, Uzbek wrestlers are also active.  In total, 18 medals were added to the account of the Uzbek national team.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbek athletes in one day of the Islamic Unity Games won 7 gold medals.
