Islamic Solidarity Games: Tursunoy Jabborova becomes the champion

Konya city of Turkey hosts the V Islamic Solidarity Games.  On 15 August, Uzbek weightlifter Tursunoy Jabborova (- 87 kg weight category) became the champion of the competition.

It should be noted that Jabborova scored 109kg in the snatch and 126kg in the clean and jerk. According to the results of two matches, Tursunoy showed a result of 235kg.  Thus, Tursunoy Jabborova won gold medals in all disciplines.

In addition, from 15 August, the contests in the Islamic Solidarity Games are scheduled to be held with the participation of the leading weightlifters of Uzbekistan, such as Sharofiddin Amriddinov (-102 kg), Ruslan Nuriddinov (-109 kg), Akbar Jurayev (+109 kg).

Earlier it was reported that the delegation of Uzbekistan took third place in the collection of medals at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
