The dates for the 16th Tashkent International Film Festival "Silk Road Masterpiece," originally scheduled to take place in Tashkent from September 15-19 this year, have been moved. This information was shared by the press service of the Tashkent International Film Festival.

Uzbekistan has become a hub for numerous significant international events this year, with the timing of these events coinciding with the Film Festival. Notably, the Futsal World Cup and several other international forums and conferences are among the events that overlap with the festival dates. Despite the suspension of applications for participation in the festival's selection program— which received over 400 films from more than 60 countries—requests for participation from foreign countries continue to come in.

"This, in turn, requires us to make changes to our plans regarding the dates of the Film Festival," the report states.

It is also noteworthy that earlier announcements indicated that renowned Indian film star Hema Malini and film director Umesh Mehra would participate in the festival.
