An Uzbek individual wanted by Interpol has been apprehended in Sochi. Police officers in Sochi arrested a citizen of Uzbekistan in connection with the fraudulent embezzlement of $7,600. This information was reported on the Telegram channel of the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory.


It has been noted that the Uzbek citizen will remain in custody until the extradition issue is resolved.


"In Sochi, employees of the Interpol National Central Bureau of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Krasnodar Territory, and operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Adler district) arrested a 48-year-old citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The arrested person will remain in custody until the extradition issue is resolved," the report stated.


It was clarified that the man was wanted by Interpol in connection with a fraud case, involving an amount of $7.6 thousand US dollars.
