Interpol catches an internationally wanted foreigner in Uzbekistan

Officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan detained a foreign national who was on the international wanted list.  This is reported by the press service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the operational search actions, officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol managed to catch a foreign national who was declared internationally wanted in Kyrgyzstan.  The criminal was wanted by Kyrgyz colleagues on charges of forgery of official documents and complicity in smuggling.  In this connection, given the seriousness of the criminal acts committed, he has been sentenced to detention.

Representatives of Interpol in Bishkek were informed that the wanted person had been detained before being extradited to Kyrgyzstan for further prosecution.

The issue of extraditing a detained person to the Kyrgyz Republic is currently under consideration by the Office of the Procurator-General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
