Uzbek boxer Shakhram Giyasov has secured 8th place in the November rankings of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), as announced by the organization's press service.
Giyasov, competing in the welterweight category (66.6 kg), is the only Uzbek athlete featured in the updated IBF ratings. Notably, he advanced one position compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, a former WBA and IBF titleholder in the super bantamweight category (55.3 kg), is absent from the latest IBF rankings despite holding 4th place last month.
Earlier, it was reported that Shakhram Giyasov's team reached an agreement with Lithuanian boxer Eimantas Stanionis for a bout for the WBA title. Details regarding the fight's location and date are expected to be announced soon.
