Guterres was awarded with the Order of “High-Level Friendship”

In Koksaroy, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres received one of the highest state awards, the Order of "High-Level Friendship," for his services in actively promoting harmony and solidarity in the world, increasing the effectiveness of the organization's activities, and strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN. This was reported by the President's press service.

While presenting the award, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev specially recognized Antonio Guterres' personal contribution to the current high level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN.

"It was noted that the Secretary-General fully supports the large-scale reforms and initiatives of global and regional importance, as well as the expansion of the activities of UN institutions in our republic," the report said.

Additionally, the long-term efforts of the UN leader to strengthen international security and stability, reform global governance institutions, advance the Sustainable Development Goals, combat climate change, promote "green" and digital development, and ensure food and energy security were acknowledged.
