According to the amendments made to the list of objects planned for privatization by the decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated June 14, "On the systematic organization of children's recreation and further improvement of health activities," the "Sijjak" and "Chotqal" resorts have been excluded from the list of objects to be privatized. This exclusion is effective from 2021.

The "Sijjak" resort was previously put up for sale in October 2022, with previous attempts in June 2020, April 2021, and April 2022. The building was valued at 7 billion.

For reference, the "Sijjak" recreation center was previously owned by Gulnara Karimova, the eldest daughter of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov. The camp features a hotel, several pools, an amphitheater, cottages, and other facilities. On February 10, 2017, the criminal court of Tashkent region sanctioned the closure of this camp.

Subsequently, there were plans to transfer the camp to the Triathlon Federation of Uzbekistan for use as a training base. A relevant draft of the decision by the Cabinet of Ministers was developed for this purpose.
