15929On July 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a resolution titled "On measures for rational use of natural gas resources," which sets new requirements for VGFCU (Vehicle Gas Filling Compressor Units).
Starting from September 1, 2024, the technological processes and equipment involved in obtaining a license for the extraction and processing of oil, gas (including compressed natural and liquefied hydrocarbon gas), and gas condensate will be subject to technical regulation.
Additionally, the technical conditions and licenses for connecting new substations to natural gas networks will be issued only with the Ministry of Energy's presentation, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
To obtain a license or permit, the following additional documents must be provided:
- A document confirming the installation of a system developed by Uzinfocom LLC, the sole integrator for the creation and support of State information systems. This system allows for real-time calculation of compressed gas consumption and data from gas distribution columns.
- A presentation from the Ministry of Energy confirming the Cabinet of Ministers' approval for a new license to sell compressed gas through VGFCU.
Existing licensees must connect to Uzinfocom's automated systems by January 1, 2025.
