Futsal: Uzbekistan begins it's Asian Cup campaign

Today, on April 17, the Asian Futsal Cup kicks off in Thailand. Uzbekistan's national team, led by renowned Spanish coach Jose Venancio Lopez, will kick off their campaign against Australia in the opening round.
In this Group "B" clash, Uzbekistan will don white jerseys, while Australia's futsal squad will don yellow. In the group's second match, Iraq will take on Saudi Arabia.
Notably, the Uzbekistan-Australia fixture is scheduled to commence at 14:00 Tashkent time.
It's important to highlight that the top four teams reaching the semi-finals of this tournament will secure berths in the World Cup hosted by Uzbekistan later this year. As the host nation, Uzbekistan automatically qualifies for the World Cup regardless of their performance in the continental championship.
