The amount of billions earned by citizens by reporting tax offenses is revealed

Since the beginning of the year, Uzbekistan has paid 5.7-billion-som bonuses for 10,205 applications which were sent to the relevant authorities on tax offenses.  This was reported at a meeting with officials of the State Tax Committee.

It is noted that to date, 46,325 applications have been submitted through the “Tax partner” system.  Of these, 42,796 (92%) were sent related to the case of not issuing a receipt after payment.

There were 1,620 applications for refusal to accept payment with plastic bank cards, as well as 174 applications for selling products on plastic cards at a higher price.  Another 1,735 have been filed for other types of tax offenses.

Of the total number of appeals received since the beginning of the current year, 19,061 were rejected because of repeated appeals, and 1,981 are under consideration.

To date, 25,283 applications have been investigated, of which 98 percent (24,637) have been confirmed.  The offenses from 646 complaints have not been confirmed.

For reference, from 1 January 2022, citizens will be given bonuses in the amount of 20% of the fine imposed on offenders, when reporting through the system «Tax partner» in the following cases:

• violation of the rules of use of cash registers and payment terminals;
• illegal business activity;
• cases of a false increase in the value of goods sold through payment terminals.
