Two individuals passed away when an ISUZU truck collided with a Damas, which was stationary at a traffic light in the Uchkoprik district of the Fergana region. Ismail Sharipov, the head of the information service of the Regional Intelligence Service, reported this to QALAMPIR.UZ.

It is reported that on November 21 at 08:20, a 23-year-old individual identified as Sh.E. and a 29-year-old identified as B.M., who was driving an ISUZU truck, failed to maintain a proper distance and collided with the Damas stopped at the red light.

As a consequence of the accident, 36-year-old M.D. and 35-year-old G.Q., who were passengers in the Damas (both women), sustained injuries and tragically lost their lives on the spot. Additionally, four more individuals were hospitalized with injuries.

"In response to this situation, a criminal case was initiated against Sh.E. under Article 266, Part 3, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of imprisonment was applied against Sh.E.," according to Ismail Sharipov.

It is worth noting that in the Altinkol district of the Andijan region, an earlier incident involved a Nexia-2 driver who struck a pedestrian on the road and fled the scene. The victim succumbed to their injuries on November 20 in the hospital.
