It has come to light that employees of the “Kokand Yog-Moy” joint-stock company in the Fergana region have not received their salaries for six months. This was reported by the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Oliy Majlis.

According to the report, the workers have gone unpaid since September 2024. In response to complaints, the company’s management reportedly stated, “There is no salary and there will be no salary in the coming months. Let them work if they want, but not if they don’t!”

The Ombudsman took the appeal under official control and assigned the case to the regional representative in Fergana for on-site investigation.

Following the inquiry, the Ombudsman initiated appropriate legal and administrative measures. As a result, the unpaid salaries of 71 workers—amounting to approximately 830 million sums—were fully recovered.
