Six-year-old boy dies after being hit by car in Fergana (video)

On August 16, a six-year-old boy was fatally injured in a road accident in the Buvayda district of the Fergana region. The incident was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.

According to the report, at around 16:30 on the 1st kilometer of the 40V083 highway in the Dehqonabad municipal district, a Gaz-3110 car driven by T.M., born in 1992, struck H.M., born in 2019, who had suddenly entered the roadway. The child was taken to the hospital with severe injuries but later died despite medical assistance.

The Buvayda district Internal Affairs Department has launched an investigation into the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier in the Margilan district of Fergana region, a woman who ran over a two-year-old child playing on the street was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom, including a complete ban on leaving her home. The court also ordered her to pay the child’s father 2 million 350 thousand soums in material damages and 25 million soums in moral damages.
