Man punished for pouring blood into neighborhood canal in Fergana

Reports have circulated on social media claiming that blood was being poured into a canal in one of Fergana’s neighborhoods. The regional Department of ecology, environmental protection, and climate change has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

According to the statement, inspectors from the Fergana city Department of the Regional ecology, environmental protection, and climate change authority conducted an investigation and monitoring at Yakkatut street in the Joydam neighborhood. During the inspection, it was revealed that a resident identified as M.M. had been discharging liquid household waste from his home into the neighborhood canal.

According to the report, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Article 72, part 1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (violation of water resource protection regulations). As a result, the individual was fined 1,236,000 soums. Additionally, explanatory and preventive measures were carried out to ensure that the violation would not be repeated and to raise awareness about water resource protection.

It is worth noting that earlier, reports emerged about textile companies discharging dye residues into the Bozsu canal in the Tashkent region, after which a criminal case was initiated against ’’Tashkent Suv Ta’minoti’’ JSC.
