Damas splits in two in Fergana: Fatalities reported 

A serious traffic accident involving a Damas vehicle occurred in the Furkat district of the Fergana region, resulting in fatalities. The incident was covered in the “Ovoza” program.

According to the report, the driver of the Damas failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with a truck moving ahead of him. The impact was so severe that the Damas vehicle split into two.

As a result of the accident, the vehicle sustained heavy damage. The driver and passengers were immediately taken to the district ambulance department.

A doctor at the medical facility confirmed that two people had died, and one patient was hospitalized with serious injuries. 

“The patient's general condition was critical. He had sustained multiple injuries. After regaining consciousness, he was transferred to the intensive care unit in Kokand,” the doctor said.

Authorities have launched a criminal case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which addresses violations of traffic safety rules. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

It is worth recalling that earlier, a BYD vehicle caught fire after crashing into a concrete barrier in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent. The driver in that case received medical assistance on the scene.
