5243Cases of illegal land sales were thwarted in the Fergana, Samarkand, and Kashkadarya regions, as reported by the State Security Service.
In the Fergana region, a resident of the Uchkuprik district, born in 1968, attempted to sell 12 hectares of land belonging to another LLC specializing in textile production. This land was pledged in one of the joint-stock commercial banks in Fergana city. The individual was caught with physical evidence while receiving an advance payment of 109 thousand US dollars out of the agreed 130 thousand US dollars.
In the Samarkand region, a resident of the Urgut district, born in 1991, agreed to sell 50 acres of irrigated farmland, specialized in grain production, for 80 thousand US dollars. He claimed he could prepare the necessary documents through his contacts in the cadastral offices. The individual was apprehended with physical evidence after receiving 30 thousand US dollars from the agreed amount.
In the Kashkadarya region, the deputy head of the agricultural department of the Karshi district administration demanded 10,000 US dollars to register 25 hectares of land from the district administration's reserve to a citizen through official contacts. He was caught with physical evidence after receiving 5,000 US dollars.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals, and investigative actions are underway.
