It was said that the old driver’s license can be exchanged for a new one even during the holidays

On 18, 19, 20, and 22 of March this year in Uzbekistan, it will be possible to exchange a driver’s license at the Department of State Services and the Department of Road Safety.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Justice.

It is noted that on 31 March of this year, the first stage of replacing old licenses will be completed, any driver’s licenses issued before 2010 will be considered invalid.

This decision was made after taking into account the large number of people who did not replace their documents within the specified period.

For this, the work schedule has been revised within the framework of the labor legislation.  In this case, drivers can use the service from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the above-mentioned days through state service centers and departments of the traffic safety department of the General Directorate of Internal Affairs.

According to data, since February this year, more than 5,500 citizens have exchanged their old-style driver’s licenses for new ones using this proposed procedure (delivered to their homes by mail).

It should be recalled that the deadline for mandatory replacement of all old-style national driver’s licenses and motor vehicle registration certificates varies depending on the period, and the latest deadline is 31 December this year.
