5394Multiple appointments were made within the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as conveyed by the ministry's information service.
Per the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan's decree, Azim Isroilovich Ahmadkhojayev was designated as the inaugural deputy minister of energy of Uzbekistan, assuming the role of Director of the Atomic Energy Development Agency. Consequently, Ahmadkhojayev was relieved of his duties as the initial deputy minister of energy.
Born on July 12, 1979, in Tashkent, Ahmadkhojayev graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics in 2000, followed by a master's degree in international economic relations and international currency-credit relations in 2002. He pursued further studies at Wollongong University, Australia, in 2003.
Ahmadkhojayev embarked on his professional journey in 2003 as a specialist at the state joint-stock foreign trade company "Uzmarkazimpex". His career trajectory includes roles such as first deputy chairman of the board of the National Bank of Foreign Economic Relations of Uzbekistan (2014-2016), chairman of the board of the joint-stock commercial bank "Asaka" (2016-2017), chairman of the State Investment Committee of Uzbekistan (2017-2018), minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan (2018), deputy director of the National Project Management Agency under the President of Uzbekistan (2018), and deputy governor of Jizzakh region (2019-2021). He has served as the first deputy minister of energy since 2021.
Bakhtiyor Rustamovich Mamatkarimov was appointed as the first deputy minister of energy.
Born in 1980 in Qorgontepa district of Andijan region, Mamatkarimov graduated from Tashkent Financial Institute in 2000, the Academy of Banking and Finance of Uzbekistan in 2013, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan in 2021.
He commenced his career in 2001 as a cashier, progressing through roles such as cashier-supervisor and foreign exchange department specialist at the Andijan regional branch of the state joint-stock commercial bank "Asakabank". His professional journey included positions at various banks and “Neftgazinvest” Limited Liability Company before serving as the deputy chairman of the board of “Uztransgaz” for finance and marketing (2020-2022) and subsequently becoming the governor of Andijan district in 2022.
Additionally, Azizkhoja Ochilovich Qobilov was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Energy.
Furthermore, in accordance with the President's directive, Bahrom Mamatmurodovich Mansurov was relieved of his duties as the director of the Atomic Energy Development Agency under the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan due to his transfer to another position.
