Starting July 1, 2025, electronic forms of identity documents and other official documents will be officially recognized in Uzbekistan. Paper copies will no longer be required in various institutions such as banks, notary offices, airports, and train stations, or by organizations that request these documents. This change is outlined in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution, "On Measures to Introduce the ‘Social Card’ System in Social Support of the Population," which was adopted on December 27, 2024.

According to the resolution, unified digital services for personal documents will be integrated within the "Digital Government" system's interdepartmental platform. The Single Interactive State Services Portal has clarified that electronic versions of identity documents, driver's licenses, and other documents available on the my.gov.uz platform will now be officially recognized. The my.gov.uz platform, along with the “Social Card” mobile application, will provide access to these digital services, which will be accepted nationwide across Uzbekistan.

The following documents are included in the new system:
- Biometric passport of a citizen of Uzbekistan
- Identification ID card of a citizen of Uzbekistan
- Driver's license
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce certificate
- Vehicle registration certificate (technical passport)
- Pension certificate
- Residence certificate of a stateless person
- Disability certificate
- Insurance policy for compulsory vehicle liability insurance
- Official state document on higher or specialized education
- Student ID card
- Certificate of state registration of an individual entrepreneur
- Certificate of registration as a self-employed person
- Cadastral passport for residential premises
- Power of attorney for personal vehicle use

As per the new regulations, paper copies of these documents will no longer be necessary when interacting with banks, notary offices, airports for domestic flight check-ins, train stations, state bodies, or other organizations requiring these documents for state, corporate, or electronic services. Electronic versions of documents submitted through the my.gov.uz platform will be recognized as valid across Uzbekistan.
