From now on, officers of the Highway Patrol service will officially use drug testers 

Now in Uzbekistan, road patrol officers are officially using a drug tester to determine whether a driver is under the influence of drugs, or psychotropic substances.  The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed on 25 March this year.

In particular, the changes and additions to the statute of the decision provide for the following:

•    Use of a special drug testing device to determine the state of consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances by vehicle drivers;
•    The algorithm of actions to be taken by road patrol officers in cases where it is determined that vehicle drivers have consumed narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances with the help of a special drug testing device.

Oybek Rahmonov, an employee of the Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department, explained this news.
