This applies to sports included in the programs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the Asian and Para-Asian Games. Athletes included in the main or reserve team and meeting specific criteria are appointed to these sports’ national teams. To regulate the process of appointing and disbursing scholarships, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports has registered a regulation with the state.

This regulation outlines the procedure for appointing and paying the stipend of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Scholarship Commission, established within the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, is responsible for the appointment of these scholarships.

The republican centers for the development of sports and the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan compile a list of scholarship candidates from the athletes of the national sports teams based on established criteria by the 5th day of the first month of each quarter. This list is then submitted to the Scholarship Commission.

The Scholarship Committee reviews the list of scholarship candidates submitted by the responsible executives and examines documents confirming their results in competitions within 15 days. During the commission meeting, a decision on awarding or rejecting the scholarship is made through a general vote.

The scholarship, equivalent to three times the minimum wage, is paid monthly for one year. Additionally, winners of world championships among the military and students are also eligible for this scholarship.
