Now students will be admitted to colleges and technical schools twice a year

Student admissions to colleges and technical schools in Uzbekistan is organized for twice a year.  This is stated in the draft decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On the state program for the implementation of the development strategy of New Uzbekistan for the years 2022-2026 in the Year of attention to people and quality education.”

It is noted that the system of admission of students to professional educational institutions will be improved.

According to the state program, the total share will be increased to 50% through the introduction of state grant allocation in technical schools based on the field of specialization.

It is also intended to systematically identify the needs of the private sector for personnel.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, interested ministries and agencies are responsible for the implementation of this task.
