Teachers' children are granted admission to state pre-school education organizations based on a preferential list. This is stipulated in the "On the Status of the Teacher" law, which was discussed during the forty-fifth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on September 29 and was subsequently approved by the senators.

This law prohibits interference with a teacher's professional activities while they are performing their duties. It prevents them from being engaged in work unrelated to their profession, working in an educational institution during the autumn-winter period and non-working holidays, and obligates them to purchase goods and services without their consent, including deducting funds for such expenses from their salary.

During the discussion of the law, the Science and Education Committee of the Senate reported, "In 2022, within the general secondary education system, 52 educators were engaged in other jobs, 1,555 were forced to subscribe, and 4,195 had funds deducted from their wages." Odiljon Iminov, the chairman of the health care committee, also addressed this issue.

Furthermore, this law strengthens regulations concerning the payment of educators. It introduces allowances for educators working in special conditions, remote areas of the republic, and specialized educational institutions for children with special educational needs. The law specifies a monthly bonus of up to 30% of the basic salary for a candidate of science or a doctor of philosophy (PhD), and up to 60% of the basic salary for educators with the title of doctor of science (DSc) and professor.

Additionally, the law provides guarantees of social protection for teachers. It establishes reduced working hours for educators and grants a maximum of fifty-six calendar days of paid annual basic extended work leave. Teachers are entitled to monthly compensation for renting houses in remote areas of the republic, and free medical examinations are offered to teachers in state health institutions.

Senators emphasized that the adoption of this law will elevate the status of educators in society, regulate legal, social, and economic aspects related to their profession, create conditions for their professional development, and provide legal safeguards.

Senate Chairman Tanzila Norboyeva stated, "This is an important and highly anticipated law. Education plays a strategic role in achieving our national and state goals.

Currently, over 640,000 dedicated educators work in preschools, general secondary schools, and higher education institutions in our country. First and foremost, this law aims to enhance the rights and prestige of these devoted individuals. It also seeks to ensure the stability of the social and moral environment in educational institutions that serve millions of our children and improve the quality of education. We believe that this law will strengthen the legal status of educators and elevate our efforts in providing social and economic support to a new level in terms of quality."

It is worth noting that earlier, economist Otabek Bakirov expressed the view that benefits should not be regulated but terminated.
