Residential complexes to be named in Uzbek language

Starting January 1, 2026, when constructing residential complexes, the name of the facility must be in the state language. Furthermore, all inscriptions on the building passport, signboard, and temporary fences and barriers around the construction site must also be in the Uzbek language. This is stipulated in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution "On making amendments and additions to certain decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving normative legal acts in the construction sector."
According to the resolution, starting from January 1, 2026:
- When constructing residential complexes, the name of the facility must be in the state language, and the rules and requirements of the state language must be adhered to;
- All inscriptions, including advertising and announcement texts, on the building passport reflecting construction object projects, on the signboard, and on the temporary fences and barriers around construction sites will be written in the state language.
It is worth noting that previously, it was announced that the names of stations, terminals, and sidings belonging to "Uzbekistan Railways" would be brought into compliance with the rules and norms of the state language.
