Singaporean honesty is now taught in schools and higher education institutions

10505Based on the experience of Singapore, Uzbekistan will develop special educational programs and manuals aimed at promoting honesty among young people, including in schools and higher education institutions. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Agency.
It is noted that the agency is currently in Singapore on a business trip.
Agnet employees visited organizations such as Singapore Corruption Investigation Bureau, Attorney General’s Office, PSB Academy, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and held negotiations on cooperation.
During the negotiations, a number of issues were discussed and agreements were reached. In particular:
• Implementation of Singapore’s anti-corruption measures into national practice;
• Development of special educational programs and manuals aimed at promoting honesty among young people, including in schools and higher education institutions, based on the experience of Singapore;
• Involving experts from the Singapore Anti-Corruption Bureau in the development of modern anti-corruption mechanisms in Uzbekistan;
• Based on the practice of Singapore, for representatives of the private sector and government agencies in the field of finance and economics, to discuss the methods of eliminating cases of violations of the law based on real cases, and to introduce standards in this direction;
• Organization of special training courses at the School of Public Policy named after Lee Kuan Yew for managers of Uzbekistan’s state agencies;
• Training of civil servants in short-term courses based on the experience of Singapore;
• Launching a project aimed at improving the skills of investigators for the investigation of corruption crimes in cooperation;
• To study and analyze the experience of Singapore on the recruitment and appointment of staff to the prosecution offices, as well as the trial of corruption cases and the participation of the prosecutor in it.
