Kindergarten teachers in Uzbekistan can now receive a monthly bonus from the Minister's Fund. This is outlined in the latest resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, titled "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aimed at Improving the System of Certification, Professional Certification, and Incentives for Teachers."

Previously, candidates for the monthly bonus were selected based on recommendations from regional councils. However, under the new resolution, all subject teachers, including kindergarten educators, can participate in the qualifying tests and become eligible for the incentive.

Additionally, the government has approved a procedure for paying pedagogical personnel an extra remuneration amounting to 70 percent of their current tariff rates. This benefit will be granted to teachers who have taken part in both stages of the category tests, achieved (or maintained) the highest or first qualification categories, and scored 86 points or higher.

Moreover, teachers who hold a certificate of general education subject knowledge issued by the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications will now be exempt from the first stage of the mandatory certification test (covering their specialty subject and professional standards).

It should be noted that earlier, the government also introduced a 50 percent monthly allowance for Uzbek language (state language) teachers in schools.
