Will Eldor Shomurodov participate in the Olympics?

Eldor Shomurodov, Uzbekistan's national football team captain and a player for the Italian club Cagliari, may compete in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, France's capital. Temur Kapadze, the head coach of Uzbekistan's Olympic team, shared this information with QALAMPIR.UZ.

"When the Olympics are about to start, it will be known which older players we will include in the team. Every coach wants to have a player like Eldor Shomurodov in his team. "We will decide directly after consultation with the management and the players," says Kapadze.

The Uzbekistan Olympic team will kick off their Olympic journey on July 24th with a match against Spain. Matches for Kapadze's team will take place in Paris and Bordeaux during the group stage.

It was previously announced that the U-23 Uzbekistan national team would receive a $30,000 prize for securing a spot in the Olympic Games.
