Elbek Sultanov becomes the champion of the Paralympics

Elbek Sultanov from Uzbekistan achieved a record of 16.45 meters in the shot put F12 class at the 2024 Paris Summer Paralympics hosted by France. With this result, Sultanov won the gold medal and became the Paralympic champion.
Thus, the total number of medals won by the Uzbek delegation reached 7: 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze.
It should be noted that two other athletes from Uzbekistan—Qudratullakhan Ma'rufkhujaev and Tolibboy Yuldashev—won gold and bronze medals in the F37 class shot put event at the athletics competition.
