Former deputy head of Tashkent Internal Affairs sentenced to prison

Today, February 12, the Military Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan sentenced 10 individuals, in particular, the former First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, Colonel Doniyor Bakhtiyorovich Toshkhodjaev, to 7 years in prison in the criminal case related to the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov. This was reported by the press secretary of the Supreme Court, Aziz Obidov.

For information, Doniyor Toshkhodjaev has been working as the First Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department since August 2023.

In February 2022, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the Tashkent Regional Internal Affairs Department. Before that, he headed the Fergana Regional Internal Affairs Department since January 2020.

Doniyor Toshkhodjaev served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Head of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019-2020. Before that, he served as Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department - Head of the Personnel Department, and earlier - as Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department - Head of the Investigation Department.

We would like to remind you that the First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, Colonel Doniyor Bakhtiyorovich Toshkhodjaev, was dismissed from his post in November 2024 by the relevant order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Colonel Farhod Fattohovich Hasanov was appointed First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department in his place.
