By order of Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Komil Ismoilovich Allamjonov has been appointed adviser-representative and the Presidential Administration’s representative in the United States. The appointment was announced by presidential spokesperson Sherzod Asadov.

According to the statement, in addition to becoming an adviser-representative, Allamjonov will continue his work as an adviser to the Head of the Presidential Administration.

It should be noted that the presidential decree issued on 12 November on the establishment of the US–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council introduced the position of the Presidential Administration’s representative in the United States. According to the decree, starting from 1 January 2026, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States will include an additional post of adviser-envoy, who will serve as the representative of the Presidential Administration in the country. Appointment and dismissal from this position, as well as approval of its regulations, will be carried out by the Head of the Presidential Administration.

The adviser-envoy will report directly to the Head of the Presidential Administration and will support the activities of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in the United States in matters related to the development of bilateral relations.

The adviser-envoy will be tasked with the following:

• Taking direct initiative and conducting negotiations on major and strategic investment and trade projects between Uzbekistan and the United States;
• Coordinating the work of the Council on behalf of the Uzbek side.

The US–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council has also been established, co-chaired by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, and Sergio Gor, the United States Special Representative for South and Central Asia.

For reference, Komil Allamjonov is considered one of the youngest high-ranking officials in the country. He was born on 18 September 1984 in Tashkent. His career began at the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, where he worked for the “Davr” news program on the Yoshlar TV and radio channel.

He gained public attention during his tenure from 2005 to 2013 as Head of the Press Service of the State Tax Committee. From 1 December 2017 to 3 October 2018, Allamjonov served as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and Press Secretary to the President.

On 29 November 2018, he was appointed Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications. He left the position in January 2020 and became Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of the National Mass Media. In July 2022, Allamjonov was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. In August 2023, he also became Head of the Information Policy Department of the Administration.

In September 2024, by presidential decree, Komil Ismoilovich Allamjonov was relieved of his duties as Head of the Information Policy Department due to his transition to another position. He announced that he would continue his career in the private sector. In June of this year, Allamjonov was appointed independent public adviser to the Head of the Presidential Administration.
