Leaders of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Hungary hold talks in Davos

On January 22, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the charter of the “Peace Council,” talks were held between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek president.

According to the report, the leaders discussed issues related to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in a friendly atmosphere.

Particular attention was paid to prospects for multilateral cooperation, including within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the signing ceremony of the charter of the “Peace Council” in Davos, Switzerland, through which Uzbekistan became one of the founding states of the organization. The event, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, was attended by heads of state, prime ministers, and foreign ministers from Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Paraguay, Pakistan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Hungary, and other countries.
