A furniture store in Chilonzor experienced a fire incident today, February 27. The fire occurred at a furniture production workshop situated on Diydor street within the "Bektopi" neighborhood complex in the Chilonzor district of Tashkent city, as stated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Emergency Situations Department of Tashkent city received a notification regarding the fire at 00:13.
Fire rescue teams arrived swiftly at 00:17 and managed to contain the fire by 01:29. Complete extinguishing of the fire took until 05:52.
A total of 18 main fire rescue teams, 2 specialized crews, and 5 water-carrying auxiliary vehicles participated in the firefighting efforts.
Thanks to the firefighters' endeavors, 5 workers were rescued from the blaze and promptly transferred to emergency medical personnel.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported as a result of the fire.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of property damage. Preliminary inquiries are underway to address this matter.
It's worth recalling that on February 9, another fire incident occurred at the "Poytakht" business center in Tashkent.
