Underage girls subjected to vigilante violence in Bukhara (video)

Videos circulated on social media showing a group of three girls in Bukhara allegedly subjecting another girl to vigilante-style violence. The Bukhara Regional Department of Internal Affairs has commented on the incident.

According to the findings, a conflict arose between underage K.Z., born in 2009 in Shofirkon District, and underage B.O., born in 2008 in Gijduvon District, due to previously existing disagreements. The incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026, on M. Iqbol Street near Fountain Square in Bukhara city. During the altercation, N.Sh., born in 2005 in Gijduvon District, and T.S., born in 2005 in Shofirkon District, also actively participated and, together with underage B.O., inflicted various bodily injuries on underage K.Z.

The incident was recorded on video by M.S., born in 2004 in Vobkent District, who was also involved in the altercation. The footage was later uploaded to an Instagram page by underage B.O., born in 2008.

During the pre-investigation checks conducted by the regional internal affairs bodies, it was established that the individuals named above were also involved in several other similar conflict-related incidents.

“All additional information regarding the reported cases will be provided following the completion of the investigation,” the statement said.

It is worth noting that earlier, an incident was reported in Kattakurgan District of Samarkand Region, where one girl assaulted another underage girl.
