4266In the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region, it was found that officials of the Department of Improvement purchased polyethylene pipes at high prices. This was reported by the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the report, the situation was revealed during the pre-investigation investigation conducted by the department's Bukhara regional branch. In violation of the requirements of the Law "On State Procurement," the responsible persons of the Improvement Department of Gijduvan district, "B.K.," bought polyethylene pipes worth 5.7 billion sums from an LLC at higher prices than the real price, causing damage to the interests of the state and society in the amount of 1 billion sums.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official authority), and investigative efforts are ongoing, the report says.
