Mining farm steals 1.2 billion soums worth of electricity in Bukhara (video)

In the Olot district of Bukhara region, an oil farm was exposed for illegally using electricity worth 1 billion 22 million soums. This was reported by the Inspectorate for Control of the Use of Electricity, Oil Products, and Gas.

During an operation carried out jointly with the Bukhara regional territorial department of Uzenergoinspection and the regional department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, it was revealed that a resident of Olot district, citizen L.N., was illegally consuming electricity by connecting devices directly to the power supply line, bypassing the electricity meter.

According to preliminary calculations, this violation caused losses amounting to 1 billion 22 million soums for the power supply company.

Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the case.

It is worth recalling that earlier, in the city of Gulistan, Sirdarya region, an LLC was exposed for illegally using electricity worth 2.1 billion soums.
