Two mayors were dismissed in Bukhara region

10911The mayor of Peshku District in the Bukhara region, Vakhob Kahhorov, and the mayor of Vobkent District, Farkhod Umarov, have been dismissed from their positions, according to the regional government.
An extraordinary session of the Peshku District Council of People's Deputies was convened, where regional mayor Botir Zaripov announced the resolution for Vakhob Kahhorov’s dismissal. Deputies approved the decision through a vote. Following this, Botir Zaripov introduced Hayot Hasanovich Davlatov, the mayor of Kogon city since 2021, as the new mayor of Peshku District, and his appointment was confirmed.
Similarly, an extraordinary session of the Vobkent District Council of People's Deputies addressed the resignation of Farkhod Umarov, who stepped down due to health concerns after serving as mayor since 2021. Botir Zaripov announced the appointment of Akmal Anvarovich Ostonov, the mayor of Korovulbazar District, as the new mayor of Vobkent District. Deputies approved his appointment during the session.
The successors for the positions of mayor of Kogon city and Korovulbazar District have not yet been announced.
This follows the recent appointment of Adiz Muzaffarovich Boboyev as the acting governor of the Samarkand region.
