The State Security Service has reported the initiation of a criminal case against an individual who was promoting extremist ideas in the Bukhara region.  According to the report, a resident named B.J., from the Gijduvan district, was influenced by the "Salafi" DEO movement through social networks from 2015 to 2021 while studying at a higher educational institution in Moscow, Russia.  During this time, he created two Telegram groups to propagate the ideas of this religious extremist movement.

Even after returning to Uzbekistan, B.J. continued his illegal activities and spread extremist ideas among his close relatives.  However, the State Security Service took swift measures to put an end to his unlawful actions.  Based on the findings of the committee on Religious Affairs, B.J.'s mobile phone contained materials that included a mixture of religious fanaticism ideas.  These materials are classified as prohibited for importation, preparation, and distribution within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Consequently, a criminal case has been launched against B.J. under Article 244-1, Part 3, Clause "g" of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.
