Mother in Bukhara injures her daughter with heated kitchen spatula

10955In the Shafirkon district of Bukhara region, a 34-year-old woman inflicted burns on her young daughter's face and body using a heated kitchen spatula, as reported by the Children’s Ombudsman.
The incident reportedly took place on October 25, when the mother, identified as M.J., pressed the heated utensil onto her daughter’s hands, face, and body, causing serious injuries. The girl, born in 2015, was immediately given a court-ordered medical examination, and she is currently receiving necessary medical care at the district medical center.
Following the incident, local authorities opened a criminal case against M.J. under Article 126-1, Part 3, of the Criminal Code (Family Violence). Investigations are ongoing.
Previously, in the same district, another mother was sentenced to three years in prison under Article 104, Part 2, Clause "v" (Deliberate Grievous Bodily Harm) for repeatedly abusing her child over two years.
