Children’s Ombudsman reports pregnancy of minor in Bukhara

A 12-year-old girl became pregnant in the Bukhara region. According to a request from QALAMPIR.UZ, the Children's Ombudsman reported this.
It is noted that the girl was admitted to the Bukhara perinatal center with a 4-month fetus. The incident occurred between minors.
The representative of the Oliy Majlis for Children's Rights, Surayo Rakhmonova, stated that it is inappropriate to provide detailed information since the incident concerns minors.
The Children's Ombudsman also reported that a criminal case has been initiated and an investigation is underway.
It should be recalled that in 2024, a 13-year-old schoolgirl in Khorezm became pregnant. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 128 of the Criminal Code (Sexual intercourse with a person under the age of sixteen).
